We grow our superplants regeneratively. Long story short, we don’t introduce any unsafe materials, we allow plants to respond naturally to their environment, building higher levels of their own protective compounds.

Juanilama

Strong in terpenes, this Costa Rican bush was used by indigenous people to soothe skin issues and is common in tea. Its antibacterial properties fight skin abrasions while promoting skin health and it's a natural insect repellent that protects neighboring plants.

Fierrillo

This rainforest vine protects from ingrown hairs, blemishes, & wounds. This antioxidant-dense plant, rich in polyphenols, restores skin back to its former glory. On the farm, it's high leaf area sequesters more carbon and it's a composting superstar.

Coralillo

The “guardian of the forest” according to the Mayans. This medicinal plant, source of phytosterols and polyphenols, effectively treats sores & burns, soothes inflammation, and restores skin. It helps to improve soil health, prevent erosion, and attract pollinators.

Yes, our products are all-natural formulas that deliver the same results without the undesirable side effects of synthetic ingredients & products. Our products are GMO free, vegan safe, not formulated with parabens, phthalates, SLS, petrolatum, synthetic fragrances, PEGs, or PPGs, or DEA/TEA.

The ingredients in our formulas are plant-derived, and meet the high standards of premium retailers. We protect our products with preservative systems that meet rigid standards for natural, efficacy and safety and we use those preservatives well below maximum use levels for safety.

We have rigid standards when designing our products to ensure they are safe and healthy. Our sun protection products are tested by third party labs to ensure UVA and UVB protection through broad spectrum and sun protection factor tests according to FDA regulations.

We use Zinc Oxide as the active ingredient because it offers excellent UVB and UVA rays protection - it is so effective that no other active ingredients are needed, as opposed to synthetic products that regularly need combinations of ingredients. Zinc Oxide is a mineral SPF, reef safe, identified as safe and GRASE by FDA.

The ingredients in our SPF formulas are plant and mineral derived, GMO free, vegan safe, not formulated with parabens, phthalates, SLS, petrolatum, synthetic fragrances, PEGs, or PPGs, or DEA/TEA. We always check the ingredients in sites like EWG or COSMOS to ensure its safety. In fact our Sensitive Skin SPF was included in EWG Sunscreens list and gave us a green/safe 2 rating.

At the start of your day, we recommend using one of our Face Washes for a gentle but effective cleanse.

Two-three times a week, you should add our Energy Scrub in the morning wash to provide a gentle facial exfoliation.

Before going to sleep, we recommend a second facial cleanse with your favorite Thrive Face Wash to remove any oil and dirt from the day.

After cleansing, start your skin care with Thrive Skin Recovery Serum to restore your damaged skin and to prevent further damage.

If you have any areas that need special attention, add Thrive's new Vitality line treatments: Revive Eye Stick, Renew Skin Firming Serum, or Spot-On Tone Balancing Serum.

Follow this one of Thrive's Face Balms to moisturize and hydrate your skin. In the morning, we recommend one of our Face Balms with SPF protection for effective, safe UV protection throughout the day.

We are committed to making plant-derived, natural, and safe-for-you cosmetics. We only use natural essential oils for fragrance in our products. On each of our ingredient lists, we try to be fully transparent so you know exactly what is in our products - instead of saying "natural fragrance," we provide the full composition of the oils that we use. In our products, you will often find an uplifting mix of citrics (grapefruit, lemon, and orange) combined with mint and herbal notes from our exclusive Lippia alba essential oil plus a sophisticated blend of earthy, wood, spicy notes.

The short answer is YES. If you are super celiac or have allergies, you should always test any product on a small section of your skin to check for any reaction. If you have purchased any Thrive products and you do have an adverse reaction, please let us know and we will refund your purchase.We use only gluten-free ingredients in all of our products but our final products are not certifed as "gluten free." We follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and do full sanitization of equipment when we make our products but there is a small risk of trace amounts of gluten remaining. So, we err on the side of suggesting caution and patch testing products for anyone who is sensitive to gluten.
